We are pleased to offer wonderful smelling incense from the Paris based design studio Astier de Villatte. Inspired by travels around the world, Astier de Villatte incense is handmade in Japan by master craftspeople following traditional techniques on the island of Awaji.
The inspiration: In the studio of the great artist Balthus, all covered in wood panelling, time seems suspended. Through the big bay window overlooking green altitude meadows, the Northern light pours her powdery rays all over brushes, palettes, tubes, paint pots, sketched canvasses and rags still wet with linseed oil..
The fragrance: honey, wood, tobacco, cedar wood, turpentine and wisps of smoke.
One box contains 125 sticks (30 minute burn time each). Box measures 6" x 2.5" x .75". Made in Japan. Incense holders sold separately.
