Here, an original hand-colored engraving of a Scottish Highland Chief (Ein Clan-Häuptling in Hochschottland) with intricately detailed patterning on his clothing. This original engraving is from a series of books called: Die Völker des Erdballs (The People of the Globe) published in Germany in the 1800's. The frame is vintage.
Original German engraving on paper under glass in a vintage wood frame. Frame measures about 9.25"h x 5"w. Image measures about 7.5"h x 3.5"w.
